Havertown is a town of many close family neighborhoods with sidewalks street lights and block parties. The schools are all upgraded or completely rebuilt all across the township. It is growing by leaps and bounds in that construction has been completed on the old Haverford state site. Now there's talk about the old Swell bubble gum factory being made a YMCA. The site was purchased by the township for added benefits to the residents through more businesses, upgraded township fields and facilities (more homes) or  the old Butches Deli Now the New Pig & Whistle or Pretzel Boy, Game Stop, etc. It has been rated as one of the top ten places to raise a family. The old and the new combine here to make it the place to call home. The township just went to single stream recycling and seems to be making a big difference on trash day (Yes, but don't miss your recycling day!). There is always something to do here for the whole family as everyone gets involved with the numerous programs (be it Sports, fitness, parks, special needs, seniors, historical, and Green). What a town to call home where people give back and will politely say Hi!
